Book Donations

The Art Project would welcome donations of art books - in any language, on any subject (biographies, technique, art history, teach-yourself) and in any condition! Also picture books, magazines (especially art magazines), picture slides would all be a great help. We plan to have a library for students so they can learn more about art and art history (especially Asian art history), and get inspiration for their own work.

Pictures for Sale

The art project does not currently have the resources for online sales of the children's work. If you are interested in purchasing work created by the students, please visit www.theburmastore.com.

Gift Cards

The Art Project held a competition for students, with prizes of art materials given out to the winners at our ‘children’s art day’ celebration. The winning pictures have been made into gift cards, which are on sale at our exhibition space in Mae Sot. The cards are also available to buy online at: www.theburmastore.com.

Feeling generous? - Sponsor a Teacher!

One of our primary aims this year is to introduce a small stipend our teachers. Our art teachers are refugees and Burmese migrant workers. It has been suggested that a nominal stipend of $35 per month for the 10 months of the school year be paid to teachers. The teachers themselves do not consider this a high priority. However, it is considered that a small stipend would not be amiss.
